Zagorodny Kvartal (the Country Quarter) is a low-rise housing complex in the town district of Khimki, 8 km north of Moscow, among the dense forests on the banks of the Moscow Canal.

The Khimki district is one of the most popular and fastest-growing districts within the Moscow Region.

The masterplan combines urban comfort and Nature and includes the construction of low-rise buildings and townhouses, schools, kindergartens, polyclinics and numerous shops, cafés and other facilities required for comfortable living in the country.

Wide streets and quiet courtyards, modern architecture and sophisticated layouts, spacious parks and playgrounds offer high quality lifestyle and environment.

In August 2014 Vittorio Grassi Architetto and Partners have been appointed to develop in partnership with the Russian company “Apartment Studio” the interior concept design of around 500 apartments and villas within the residential complex "Zagorodny kvartal". The concept has been developed in particular for apartments and town houses of around 200 sqm on two floors and is inspired by natural and raw materials. The living space at the ground floor has been optimized by using a free floor plan and an open kitchen, while at the first floor the bedrooms are all served by en-suite bathrooms. The maximization of the sunlight and the use of a natural color palette contribute to create a relaxing Nordic atmosphere.
